We are lucky that Channel Partners chooses to host their annual event in Las Vegas. Not only is the conference one of the top meetups of the channel community each year, but the city of Las Vegas has so much to offer from an entertainment perspective. We’ve compiled some of our favorite sights, bites and scenes that you can take part in while you’re in the desert.
1. The Bellagio Fountains and Conservancy
Just across the street from Bally’s is the Bellagio, famous for its spouting fountains that shoot up to 100 feet in the air. No trip to Vegas is complete without seeing the water move in sync with classic Vegas tunes from Frank Sinatra. As a bonus, step inside the hotel and check out the Conservancy, which offers an over-the-top floral display from all four seasons. The Bellagio’s buffet is also known to be one of the best on the Strip.
2. Check out the Mandalay Beach Cabanas with Momentum
Each year, Momentum gives show-goers the opportunity to leave the show floor and catch some rays outside by hosting our meetings in pool cabanas. You can get some much-needed fresh air, a tropical drink and a chance to chat with our team about our latest cloud voice, SD-WAN and contact center solutions. You’ll need an appointment, so check out our meeting page to choose your time. https://meetme.so/momentum-cp
3. See the Strip from the High Roller
Built just a couple years ago, the High Roller at the LINQ Hotel is the highest observation wheel in the world (beating out London and Singapore). At 520 feet tall, the wheel offers 360-degree views of the Strip and the surrounding mountain range. The ride lasts about an hour, and, yes, drinks are available on board.
4. Take a Ride on a Venetian Gondola
Once the largest hotel in the world, the Venetian has a full canal in the second floor of the hotel. You can transport yourself directly to Venice with a gondola ride on the indoor canal or outdoor pool, complete with a singing gondolier.
5. Jump Off the Stratosphere Tower
829 feet above the Strip is the top of the Stratosphere Hotel. It’s hard to miss from anywhere on the Strip and known for its adventurous activities at the summit. You can do a controlled free fall from the top to the bottom, ride a roller coaster or take on a tilt-a-whirl that spins you face-down so you can see all the way down. Not for the faint of heart!
6. Get a Steak, Old-School Vegas style
Nestled inside the otherwise run-down Circus Circus is The Steakhouse – a throwback haunt from a bygone generation of Vegas. An old hangout of the Rat Pack and countless other Vegas celebs, The Steakhouse serves up dry aged USDA Prime beef complete with leather chairs, dim lighting and white tablecloths. It’s a meal you won’t forget!
7. Treat Yourself to a Spa Day
Many of the hotels in Las Vegas are known for their sprawling spas, each with their own relaxing amenities that go well beyond plush treatment rooms. And the best part is many of them offer day passes for people who just want to use the aforementioned amenities minus getting a pricey massage or body scrub. For example, spa day passes are $50 for non-hotel guests at the Spa at Aria and include use of their fitness center, outdoor therapy pool, heated stone beds, Shio salt room and wet areas. Other spas that offer day passes include the Spa at The LINQ Hotel & Casino, Canyon Ranch SpaClub at The Venetian and the Spa at Mandalay Bay.
8. Ride the Deuce to Downtown Vegas and Fremont Street
For just a few bucks, you can get from the Strip to Downtown Las Vegas and Fremont Street, where you’ll see the other side of Sin City. Also, nearly everything is cheaper there! The unique double-decker buses are also perfect for sightseeing and traveling the Las Vegas Strip at your own pace. The Deuce runs from the Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas all the way to the Mandalay Bay, stopping at nearly every hotel along the way.
9. See a Show
Vegas is known often called the Entertainment Capital of the World and it's not going to disappoint during this year's Channel Partners Expo. With acts like Cirque Du Soleil, Penn & Teller, Blue Man Group, Backstreet Boys, Aerosmith, Barry Manilow, Bill Maher, P!nk, John Fogerty and many more taking center stage all across the city throughout Expo week, it won't be hard to find a show you'd be thrilled to see!
10. Do Some Shopping!
Right outside of Bally’s is the Grand Bazaar Shops, which lets you browse and buy in an outdoor setting. Modeled after some of the best open-air markets in the world, shop for everything from apparel and beauty products to jewelry and footwear. You can also hop across the street and shop the Forum Shoppes at Caesar’s or turn left and hit the Miracle Mile shops near Planet Hollywood. There is no shortage of fashion in Vegas.
Whatever you choose to do during your stay in Vegas, make sure to make the most of your time at Channel Partners learning about the newest technology, growing stronger business partnerships and finding ways to #BuildMomentum!
